what does the group do
The Footpath, Wildlife and Environment Group had a
wide remit which included everything from identifying
how best to preserve the beauty and amenity of Cradley
and Storridge, and in particular the protection of areas
of valued wildlife habitat, to consideration of the
impacts from the 2007 flood and how these might be
prevented in the future. Other issues that were
explored included the further improvement of waste
management in the Parish and an audit of the footpaths
and public rights of way within the Parish so that
concerns regarding usability and access could be
identified.
Extensive consultation has already taken place, and will
continue, with various agencies and contacts, including
representatives from Herefordshire County Council
(Head of Highways, Rights of Way Maintenance Manager,
Recycling Officer and Highways Network Manager) and
also our local councilor.
