what has the education & health group doneand yet to do(A)What We’ve doneThe questionnaire demonstrated a high degree of satisfaction with Cradley V.A. Primary School among parents and residents alike; research by the group identified a tendency among some parents to send their children to schools outside the village. Continuing efforts must be made by and with the Head Teacher and Governors and the Friends of Cradley School to market the school’s merits and, in doing so, to maintain the viability of the school here. The most significant contribution to this initiative must be the provision of pre-school education within the parish, preferably located at and run by the school. That ambition will be realised in September 2010 when a new playgroup is to be established on the school premises and managed by a private provider.(B)What we’re going to doWe will continue to explore and implement methods of marketing and communication in the interests of the school’s further development and, with volunteers, will undertake research into the need for the provision of adult education in the parish, in line with the wishes of respondents to the questionnaire.
