Aims for our plan

Our vision for the parish is one of vibrant, economically active, interlinked, balanced communities in which local facilities are sustained and enhanced, the traditional character of the population is maintained, and where change is proactively and inclusively managed.

Our vision for the Parish Plan is that it will shape and determine the future of the
community of Cradley and Storridge by encapsulating in a living document:

     • The community’s needs and aspirations in facilities and services
     • The distinctive character and features and how they can be preserved
     • The actions needed to tackle issues of concern

In steering the development of the parish plan, we will include:

     • Everything that is relevant to the people who live and work in the community
     • The widest consultation amongst its residents, stakeholders and partners
and we will have regard to:
     • Economic, social and environmental well-being of existing and future
        residents
     • Herefordshire Partnership Community Planning Guidance
     • Herefordshire Sustainable Community Strategy
     • The evolving Herefordshire Local Development Plan.

It is hoped that all those living and working in the two villages or governing the parish shall be able to refer to the Plan as change embraces our community over the coming years.
